Our Company and Owner
Chris Close began his career in 1979 as a technician at a ServiceMaster franchise. As he grew in the company, Chris and his wife Diane decided to pursue their dream of being a franchise owner. In 1985, the Closes opened a new franchise in Norwich, NY. After 7 years of service in Norwich, they sold the business.
In 1991, they purchased and have since owned the franchise in Syracuse, NY. The business handles disaster restoration, but also does carpet and upholstery cleaning, house wide cleaning and catastrophe cleaning. In 2014 they expanded the business into Cortland and Western Oneida County. With a staff of 15 employees, ServiceMaster Recovery by Close is committed to providing customers with piece of mind in their time of need. That is why he and his employees are on call 24 hours day, 7 day a week, 365 days a year.
Affiliations & Achievements
Bryan Close, Operations Coordinator
Bryan joined the ServiceMaster team in 2003. He worked part time through High School and College, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Management. He coordinated flooding clean-up in Schenectady and Albany resulting from Hurricane Irene and flooding in Binghamton, Owego and Vestal resulting from Tropical Storm Lee. Bryan also traveled to northern New Jersey after Super Storm Sandy and assisted in the clean-up for over a month. Bryan has handled large commercial and residential losses throughout the north east and handles many of the large mold remediation projects.
Dave Jones, Production Manager
Dave joined the ServiceMaster team as a technician in 1995 and today handles water, fire and mold damage production. Dave has handled many losses from smaller residential to large commercial. Dave also traveled to several large catastrophic events such as the flooding in Binghamton in both 2005 and from Tropical Storm Lee. He has also handled flash flooding events throughout Central New York.
John Brooks, Production Supervisor
John joined ServiceMaster in 1998 as a technician and today handles water and fire damage. John also handles many of our mold remediation jobs. John was part of the team that helped with the cleanup at the Pentagon after 9/11. John has also traveled to many catastrophe areas such as Schenectady after Hurricane Irene and Binghamton and Owego after Tropical Storm Lee. John has been part of many large commercial and residential losses ranging from large church fires to flash flooding events.
Darryl Clark, Production Manager
Darryl joined the ServiceMaster team in 2015 and today handles water, fire and mold damage production. Darryl has handled many losses from smaller residential to large commercial. Darryl has worked in the disaster restoration industry since 2004.
